Like Seth, Enoch was one of Noah's forefathers, and this godly man did not see death because God 'took him' out of the increasingly corrupt earth.Īs a descendent of Adam, Noah was a sinner who was born with an old sin nature that was at enmity with God. He was a descendent of Seth (through whom would be born the Seed of the woman), and he was also the great-grandson of the prophet Enoch (who walked with God). Scripture informs us that "Noah was a righteous man and blameless in his time, for Noah walked with God." The verse is sometimes translated, " Noah was a righteous man and perfect in his generations." Noah was called righteous because He 'walked with God' or 'trusted God', but he was 'perfect in his generations' because his genetic profile had not been contaminated by the fallen angelic beings who left their first estate, engaged in sexual acts with women, and produced genitally modified men which was an abomination in the eyes of God. It is understandable that God determined to wipe mankind from the face of the earth! But we discover a man called Noah who was blameless in the eyes of God, despite living in the midst of all the debauchery and degeneracy of that generation.
It is no surprise that God purposed in His heart to destroy the entire race of man, which had become completely corrupted.
together with the shocking corruption and degeneracy that engulfed the whole antediluvian world, caused all humanity to be "only evil continuously." The widespread wickedness, sin, and intermarriage between the rebellious, angelic beings and their human counterparts.
